Another week coming to a close…. let’s see what is rolling around in the old melon that I can share with you.. first off, gonna be a cool weekend for 97.1 starting with a special “Hammer” edition of the film freak show  saturday night @7P. Leo is gonna welcome adam carolla for a behind the scenes look at adam’s new movie that opens in theaters next week. In addition to the on air portion, we’re gonna “web cast” the event as well…  so remember to fire up your computer saturday night so you can watch the studio action when leo and ace go one on one for the hammer special. Then, monday is st patrick’s day….  and frosty, heidi and frank are hosting their annual “in studio” st; patty’s day broadcast…complete with another webcast!  You’ll be able to watch the action from your computer at work…. check it out at www.971freefm.com.  It’s gonna be a big week too with adam on dancing with the stars…  I think ace is dancing on Monday night to set your tivo for that …. this has been good for carolla because of all the free publicity he is getting….  spread the word. And speaking of TV shows, go to www.vh1.com and check out the previews of Danny Bonaduce’s new tv show called, “My kid is a star”….  it looks amazing…  Danny works with kids and their crazy parents.  gonna be another home run for the ‘duce. Have a great weekend…and thanks for reading this blog…. and listening to our station…..  late!

….. damn…is it the end of the week yet???/ yep..don’t know if i wrote after we came back from vegas…but that was one hell of a show..  Adam Carolla at the Palms hotel was a great show.  My only problem is that vegas is one toxic spot… drinking, gambling, smoking etc… all in one spot.  My eyes were burning for 3 days after we came home.  Does this say it all?

 The ratings came out on Monday…and the station is on fire!  This is the first month of the new year..and what a great way to start ‘08!  Tom Leykis continues his reign as la’s number one afternoon show for Men in So Cal…  and the same for Frosty, Heidi and Frank and Danny Bonaduce.  Having the duce between the triplets and the professor is proving to be a great energy blast for the station..  Plus, Adam Carolla posted his best ratings to date..  Now, he’s gonna dance with the stars, have a new movie, and some NBC gear head show too.  I really like the way things are jelling for our station.  Thanks for reading this…

What up Peeps….back from Vegas with the Carolla show.  Aside from the fact that my eyes are burning and my nose is running like a big dog, we had a great time in sin city. Adam’s show from the palms hotel was excellent.  Race car driver Robbie Gordon was there…as was Bobby Slayton and the owner of the casino, George Maloof.  I think I spotted some spearmint rhino chicks there too….

Now, we’re getting ready for a couple of cool events this month…  First, will be the Frosty, Heidi and Frank St Patty’s Day web cast.  These three boozers will do their show live on the web so make sure you log on for that on Monday 3/17. 

Then on Wednesday night the 19th, we’re going to have a party at Key Club on the Sunset strip to debut our HD2 channel called, “FREE 2 HD”.  I know it’s confusing …all the talk about HD radio but it’s pretty cool technology which allows stations to have “multi cast” channels for additional programming.  And the quality is insane…so come to the party…we’re going to give away a bunch of HD radios …and have a few cocktails…. 

And, Adam Corolla’s new movie “The Hammer” comes out on the 21st….so keep listening for details on a private screening that you can attend.  Ratings today at noon…. looking for a great start to ‘08!
